Today March 20th is Jour du Macaron, as started by Pierre Hermé and Relais Desserts. Bakeries internationally get together to celebrate this day and donate proceeds to support their local charity. Being the kind of day it is, I thought it fitting to share a sneak peek at one of my new cards inspired by my love for this sweet treat.

Happy Friday!
Wishing you all a great weekend! It will be a busy one for me, as it usually is this time of year, but I hope it'll be a good mix of work + play (emphasis on the play)!

Late night birthday celebrations...
It was my friend Tina's birthday yesterday, and after a long day of work, we gathered at Thierry for some late night celebrations. Four girls, four desserts, two macarons. It was a perfect way to end the day.

Living in a Dream...
Last Sunday afternoon, when I was in Fort Langley, the highlight was a visit to Little White House. It was like stepping into a whimsical dream. The house is separated into sections, with decor to fit each room. There's also a Salon Café that sells scrumptious cupcakes and macarons, perfect for high tea.
I bought a box of macarons home {not shown here as I ate them too fast}! My favourites were probably the Earl Grey and Nutella. You can view the Salon's menu here.

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and I spent it discovering Fort Langley. There were so many quaint and unique independent stores in the area, and
I would love to go back to spend more time exploring each one of them. First stop: brunch at Wendel's Bookstore & Cafe. I loved its concept of part bookstore and part cafe.
After brunch we stopped at the cutest little shop Into Chocolate. There was every imaginable candy and confection in there. I loved the beautiful taffy candies and old school chocolate bars.
Part Two... Little White House to come tomorrow. It was the highlight of the afternoon for me, from the vintage-looking pieces of jewelry and dresses, to the scrumptious macarons in their Salon Café.

Hello...!
It's been a little while since the last post. Things have been really busy on the design front! Believe it or not, I'm designing holiday cards, which has been taking up most of my time. In the midst of things it was the birthday of two family members and here are a couple of cards I created for them, inspired by their favourite animals. Hope to post again soon!
